Communications is a process between two or more people
via direct speeches, verbal, written and in signs in which one
convey the message and other receive it and vice
versa.
There could be many reasons why communication fails and
the primary one is a fact in which people tend to focus much more
on what they want to convey than listening and trying to
understand.
Every mode of communication has its own reason for
communication failure but here I have listed few common
reasons
- The timing of the message: When we send a message which
should be valuable for a specific time and due to unavailability of
the person or due to technical reason message was not delivered on
time or not read by the recipient then the communication
fails.
- Assumption: Any kind of assumption in communication may
lead to failure of the communication like if I assume a strict
email will help the employee to take action but he may take it in
wrong way and don’t perform the task. So convey politely and in an
effective manner
- Language and value barriers: One person message can’t
be understood by other if there is a language
constraint.
- Disruptive means and methods of
communications
- Too much communication is also the reason for the
failure of the communication
