Sustainability is the baseline of all the business operations, as there are three pillars of sustainability: economy, society, and environment. The three pillars or factors help the company achieve all the goals and aims better and efficiently. All the three factors of the sustainable business development depend on each other, and one factor affects the other. Society has to accept sustainable measures to buy more and more products from the company. The company should also consider the economic factors because the enterprise's main motive is to contribute to economic development and growth. The business should also consider the dynamic business environment because a change in the environment affects the enterprise's operations and processes. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all the three pillars of the sustainability. The coronavirus situation has led to a lockdown in the society. All the people and people in business have to stay in their homes, and consequently, they cannot contribute to the country's economic development.

The environment also saw a negative as well as positive impact. Due to the lockdown in the entire world, the environment has become cleaner than before. There is a fear of viruses in the air and the environment in many places. Hence, it also leads to the apprehension of fear in the minds of people. The enterprise is using the sustainable development measure in the times of COVID-19. There are opportunities and threats in the current situation. The society also affects the sustainable measures of the business. The consumers also oppose the sustainable measures because they do not support the high price products. The sustainable measures involve high costs, and the prices of goods also increase, as the increase in prices of goods less to decrease in demand by the consumers.

On the other hand, the sustainable measures affect the business environment. The business environment includes all the stakeholders and the firms of the industry. Hence, many companies also oppose the sustainable measures of the company. The companies have a fear of competition in the industry. Due to the fear, the companies face the opposition from the other firms in the industry. The economic factors also play an essential role in the sustainable development measures. The demand for sustainable products and raw materials has increased in the business society and the environment.

Moreover, the companies use society's resources, and in return, they should give back better products and efficient products to the people in society and the target environment. Hence, it becomes obligatory for the enterprises to give back to the environment. Moreover, the firms tend to exploit the resources and the environment for their benefit. The sustainable measures effectively reduce the amount of waste products in the environment and the water bodies. The coronavirus pandemic has led to various difficulties in the production and manufacturing process. It has further become difficult to adopt sustainable measures because of opposition from all the three pillars. The pandemic has affected all the pillars, and the business enterprises too.
