Deductive-nomological model
Explanations of Hempel's "covering law" model:
• There must be at least one specific information
• It should refer to at least one general law

1. Occasionally, a roadmap is driving to drive drivers down under the heading "Speed kills" with the slogan 10 km. Give a scientific explanation of the background of the campaign, for example, by looking at the relative change in a car's kinetic energy when the speed increases from 50 to 60 km per hour.
2. When iodine crystals are shaken with hexane, they disappear while the hexane is colored red
3. When hexane containing dissolved iodine is shaken together with an aqueous solution of potassium iodide, the color becomes weaker

Solutions

Expert Solution

1) as the speed of car increases the kinetic energy also increases so at the increased speed if the vehicle collides with other vehicle the damage can more so as an example if the speed of vehicle suddenly increases by more than 10 km /hour it can be disastrous so its advisable to increase slowly by 10 km/ hour.

2) as iodine is a non polar molecule so when iodine crystals are shaken with hexane which is also a non polar compound, iodine crystals dissolve in hexane and so the crystals disappers as they dissolve in hexane and hexane turn red in colour.

3) when hexane containing iodine is shaken with potassium iodide iodine in hexane reacts with potassium iodide and forms I3(-) ions and potassium iodide is brownish in colour so its colour fades from red to brownish.

I must be clear; this is not a 'specific' question, but rather a hypothetical one. As of now, computer physics simulations are becoming more and more advanced, and I am programming one now. I was interested in the feasibility that perhaps one could emulate quantum physics or relativity in a physics simulation. Obviously, there are many problems at first, but I think that it would be very interesting to attempt such a simulation to observe the systems in a controlled...
