• Human Resource Functions such as Performance Appraisal, Staffing, etc.
• Marketing functions such as Market Research, Test Marketing, Customer behavior analysis, etc.
• Production function such as Production processes, Quality testing and control, etc.
• Other support functions such as Legal advising services, etc.

Following are the Types of Information systems that could be used to support the above:

• Management Information System such as SAP, could be used to manage the large amount of data in a centralized way, highly useful for managing an array of all management functions in general.
• Transaction Processing System especially for accounting and Production functions
• Decision Support System for statistical projection models that could be used for decision making and especially in Marketing and Finance
