Explain how carbohydrates are digested( polysaccharides and disacchardies )
carbohydrates digestion :
during digestion starches and sugars are digested through chewing and chemically by enzymes into a single unit glucose ,fructose, galactose which are absorbed into the bloodstream and transported for use of energy throughout the body.
carbohydrates are 1st digested in saliva of mouth...salivary glands produce amylase it digeste the carbohydrates...
carbohydrates digestion are 3 types ,,I.e polysaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides.....end product of glucose is transported into blood it is used for energy.
