Before creating an argument using all the Toulmin Elements . Let us first understand all the Toulmin Elements . There are in total six Toulmin Elements . If these elements are used in a perfect manner to construct arguments these can help the readers or listners understand the arguments and evaluate their validity . These take care of complex nature of most problems and are essentially used when or where there are no clear truths or solutions to problems .

The six Toulmin elements are :

1. Claims : This is basically a statement of opinion which the writer or speaker makes for the audience to accept .

2. Grounds : This is basically the fact , data or reasoning which forms basis of the claim .

3. Warrants : Warrants connects the grounds to the claims .

4. Backing : These lend extra support to the claims . This can be done by addressing all sorts of questions related to the claim .

5. Qualifier : This emphasis on the fact that claim may not be true at all times .

6. Rebuttal : Here basically opposing views are addressed .

Now let us construct an argument using all the above elements. Let us touch upon an issue where due to excessive usage of ear phones for listening to music or any other news or anything while walking or driving a lot a accidents are happening in India particularly in New Delhi where I live.

Claim : We should have laws which prohibits a person from using ear phones while driving or walking as these are leading to a plenty of life consuming dangerous accidents .

Ground : As per the estimates last released by Transport Ministry about 0.5 million accidents have been reported in the year 2018 till date .

Warrants : Listening to anything while driving or walking limits a persons ability to concentrate on anything that is happening around him or her . He may not hear some thing or he may over look certain things .

Backing : Education on consequences has to be imparted and strict fines have to be imposed to make people understand what may happen and they should think twice before indulging in use of ear phones while driving or walking .

Qualifier : People can use earphones if they are strolling in gaurdens or in market places or malls where people can only walk . So stringent laws should be applicable for driving and walking on roads or railway crossings where is a traffic .

Rebuttal : There is nothing more important than a human life and if some people think listening to music on earphone makes a person calmer and helps in driving better than 0.5 million accidents would not have happened in just 4 and half months this year.
