In the United States constitutional law, the good-faith exception which is also known as Good-Faith doctrine can be seen as a legal framework which facilitates the exemption related to the exclusionary rule. The main objective of Good Faith exception to the exclusionary rule is to provide protection to the law enforcement agencies if they are working for the purpose of serving their duties and society.
These exceptions facilitates the collection of proofs in breaching of private rights as mentioned in the Fourth Amendments to be submitted at the trail if there is a good faith associated with the action of a police officer which depends upon the defective search warrant which means that there are some prevailing reasons which indicate that the actions performed by them are legal.
Good faith can be defined as a term which includes belief and objectives which are not directed to defraud or mislead others.
