In: Operations Management
This chapter provides rationale for conducting job analysis, and it indicates some of the limitations. Take a stand for or against the use of job analysis, and provide convincing arguments for your position.
I agree with the concept of job analysis for the business which has to know and understand the ways the processes are been done to make it more agile. The need for such assessment comes when the need for the people is used or the competitor’s ways of operations are seen and the most competent of ways to operate like ideas are generated to give the best of positional skills to be lead by the most competent personnel. The job analysis gives the following:
· The needed skills of the job, the way it can be made more agile,
· The skills needed to do the job which would thus prescribe the limitations for the training needs for the business,
· The time and job quality assessments are done in this process which gives an idea of what more needs to be done.
· The job analysis also makes the people know the strengths and weaknesses for the best of job accomplishments and deployments.
· The right man for the right job at the right cost is the idea for the job analysis which is a very practical way of approaching the job description and thus its analysis with time.
Hence the job analysis gives a host of ideas for the people to give the business and its people the best of value and opportunity for the best of organizational benefits.
