This is for AT&T: The analysis you have done so far might lead you to expect your company to operate with a particular kind of structure. What kind? To what extent does your organizations structure seem to fit with the characteristics of the organization’s technology? For example. Is the structure organic or mechanistic?

ANSWER :

The structure of the starbucks company differs greatly from the corporate structure of other coffee shops. It's organizational structure is unique just like it's coffee. The analysis i have done so far lead me to expect that starbuck company operate with a particular type or kind of structure and that is MATRIX structure.


Matrix structure seems to fit with the characteristics of the organization's technology, a great extent by maintaining effective communication, great product development and efficient production

The starbucks company's structure is MECHANISTIC not organic because it employs a matrix configuration structure through integrating divisional and functional structures. It maintain a high degree of specialization and formalization.
