Draw a concept map over the topic of Alzheimer's Disease. When you draw it, make sure to include Right ventricular hypertrophy in the center, then radiating out from that the 5 following categories:
1. Symptoms
2. Causes
3. Risks
4. Diagnoses
5. Treatments
Then from each of those categories put a few major factors, Then from each of those categories put 1 or 2 specific factors. Then try to connect items from different categories that are somehow related
Alzheimer's disease:
it is a progressive and eventually fatel dementia of unknown cause charactrised by loss of cognitive and physical function of commonly with behaviour symptoms
Brain cell connections and the cells themselves deggenerate and die evantually destroying memory and other important mental functions.
Right ventricular hypertropy or enlargrment that surrounding the brain tissue die. The increses in size occurs during mild cognative impairment and continues to do so as Alzherimes setsin and progresses. as the enlargent takes place there is a complication of high blood pressure in the arteries of the brain that may lead to the cell death in he brain.
In reduced oxygenated blood supply to the brain cells leads to the death of brain cells
Cuses:
Symptoms :
Risks:
APP :A and beta generated from beta amyloid precursor protein causes plagues that leads to cause of memory loss due to cell death
Activated microglea:those are cells that leads to phagocytosis of brain cells
Intercellular neurofibrillary tangles NFTs these causes plagues in cortex and temporal lobe leads to degeneration of neurons and synaps and cortical atropy
DIAGNOSIS ;
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). MRI uses radio waves and a strong magnetic field to produce detailed images of the brain.
Computerized tomography (CT). A CT scan, a specialized X-ray technology, produces cross-sectional images (slices) of your brain. It's currently used chiefly to rule out tumors, strokes and head injuries.
TREANTMENT ;
based of seviarity rate drugs are ntrduced to the patient
like ;cholinestarse inhiitors
NMDA receptor antagonists etc
these will act on neuronal eflexes and maitain the levels of the neuro trsmitors from the brain
CBT cognative behivoural therapy can also be given to improve patient memory recaption
