Combining treatment is helpful in alleviating and assuaging the symptoms that come along with mental disorders.

A treatment that has a singular focus point often fails to encompass most of the symptoms or make a wholesome change, as it is targeted over a single symptom or feature of the disorder; whereas a multifaceted or combination of treatment work in treating the various facets of a disease.

The synergy of treatments are preferable over a single form.

For instance, in the article listed above, there is a mentioning of MCog which stands for Multimodal Cognitive Treatment. The first part of the treatment takes into account the CAT, Cognitive Adaptive Training, which helps an individual adapt and fit into the daily routine of life, such as taking care of minor details and job.

Then there is the CBTp, which is cognitive behavioral therapy for psychosis that assists in assuaging the affects of psychosis. This second part of the treatment is used as a complimentary force alongside the ongoing medical treatments and medications.

This therapy is widely prevalent amongst the domain of the disorder of schizophrenia. This is one example of successful combination treatment methods for disorders.
