A..Gall(1996) argue that the literature review plays a role in avoiding fruitless approaches.Explain the statement?
B.One category of broad problem area might be where we are doing research on issues which require improvements.Explain the stsatement?
C.What is appropriate citation important? What are the consequences of not giving proper credit to the source from which materials are extracted?
A) A. Gall clearly, and forcefully stated that the literature review is an essential part of the research process. A literature review involves the previous research papers and studies done by different researchers and experts. The review provides a way, to begin with, the research paper or study. It gives the researchers the path to go in the right direction, and they can complete the tasks until the end. It also provides a foundation of knowledge of the topic and crucial areas of the research. The researcher can also focus on the research gap of other researchers.
B) The researcher should answer the open questions that the previous researchers have not answered. There are many issues in the research papers that the previous experts have not answered. The paper includes research problems, and the current researcher should only focus on these main problems. The main issues are the research gaps in the previous research papers. For instance: There is a paper on marketing. The research gap in the paper is that the researcher has not addressed the ethical issues in advertising. The current researcher can also address the most critical issue of ethical concerns in advertising.
C) The citation is an article or research paper that plays an essential role because it tells the readers about the references used in the paper or article. It is also essential to use the proper format in the citation. The consequences of improper citations can increase confusion and irregularity in the research. It gives rise to confusion in the minds of the readers as well as the researchers. It is because the other researchers can refer to those citations easily.
