Performance improvement is the continuous improvement and study of various processes, to provide better service and prevent problems by identifying areas and testing new options.  
The six domains of healthcare facility that is used are

safety, timeliness, effectiveness, efficiency, equitability, patient-centeredness

Patient Centeredness : Providing care to the patient by caring being responsive to each and every patient preferences, needs, and values.

Saftey : Keeping the patient safe and looking after the patient. Giving utmost care to patient safety and avoiding harm.

Effectiveness : The services should be  based on proper  knowledge of patient condition, and should be effective . Proper treatment, to proper patient.

Efficient : Patient concern, including waste of equipment, supplies, ideas, and energy.
