Promotion is the “P” most generally identified with Marketing, but promotional efforts need to respond to an ever more difficult to reach target market. Describe yourself in the terms a marketer might use to describe you as a consumer, and tell 1. how you can best be reached, and 2. which traditional method of promotion is unlikely to be successful in attracting your attention.
1. I can best be reached by the way marketer approaches and describes the product. The very first thing that will attract me is the presentation skills of the marketer. The way marketer interacts about the products. The marketer must respond to the concerns and queries I have about the product rather than just telling me the advantages or features. The marketers should focus on the consumer's needs and how they can personally fulfill that particular need. The marketer should keep it personal rather than being transactional to the customer.
2. The traditional promotion method that is unlikely to be successful in attracting my attention is commercials and television advertisements because I feel television ads are way too costly to the brands. When brands use expensive e method of ads, then automatically those costs are included in the products, and ultimately customer has to pay high prices for those products. Also, it is unlikely to be successful in attracting it is because of the celebrities they endorse in the advertisement. Again those celebrity payments cost is added to the value of the product.
