What kind of influence might culture have on self-interest in decision making
There existed differences in decision making process of the East Asians as well as the North Americans. These differences were on the basis of three different aspects, - the search speed of the information, the information quantity employed as well as the information type that has been employed.
It had been found that, East Asians were less interested in harbouring their self interest. The East Asians were not interested in making themselves look good whereas, the North Americans were more interested in looking good. The North Americans were more interested in increasing their relationship domain. East Asians tend to be less interested in self inter st while making a decision. They look at the environment and the various aspects of the environment and then take the decision rather than comparing only one or two aspects of the overall scenario.
