Implementation of any change in the organization requires certain skills and competencies. Similarly, compentencies are required for transforming the HR system and implementing the HR scorecard in the system. The compentencies required in my organization to implement the HR scorecard are having knowldge of the business, change management ability and credibility. Knowldge of the business, its mission, vision and goals is improtant comptency for the HR professional to play the role of the startegic asset to the company. To implement any change, improve any practice or achieve any goal they should know what they are working for. This defines the business and its end goals. They should know the capabilities of the organization in strategic, financial, technological terms to play a vital role in it.

Change management ability is important because to implement a change the HR professional will have to face challenges from different directions. In such a situation identifying the barriers, articulating the vision, building relationships. leading the agenda and implementing changes effectively is important. For this, the professional has to be competent in managing the change and forces that come with it. The HR professional implementing the change should have personal credibility so that employees can look up to him, believe in his decisions and follow them. He should be open and clear about his intentions, have leadership qualities and ability to be a team player, respect for others and focus on performance improvement in the long run.
