The purpose of starting with the consumer in mind first is that, it is the consumer for whom the product is made. The basic aim of any marketing activity is that to find out the need of the customer and then develop the product which is best suited to his needs. If the company is not able to analyze the needs of the customer in their mind, it will never be able to design the right product for the consumers.
