Three broad categories of connective tissues
Connective tissues are classified based on their physical property into three broad categories
1 connective tissue proper: is composed of cells, fibers in ground substance
Loose Connective Tissue areolar, adipose (fat cells), reticular ,
Haemopoeitic
Dense connective tissue Collagen, Elastin and Reticulin
Ground substance : fills the space between the cells. It is viscous made up of glycoproteins and proteoglycans
2. Fluid connective tissue : cells are present in the watery like fluids Blood and Lymph
3. supportive connective tissue: is differs from connective tissue proper having less diverse cell population packed tightly in dense fibers
Bone, Cartilage : they protect and support the weight of the all body parts
