There are some reasons for the given issue that mainstream media putting unions into negative light. The first reason is the palpable show or exhibition that describes union as a party that causes strikes, spreads violence and stops work. It is easily caught by the media and they create a story of it. It paints union in a negative light. The second reason is the funding made available to media, from the end of companies. Mainstream media can easily show the paid or sponsored news about the unions that highlights more of their demerits, but remain silent on their good work for those who cannot bargain. The third possible reason is loss of employment and unions' demand to the employees to follow them in all the wrong pursuits, make them in a negative image.

Besides, there is a negative perception also about the union that skillful people are not able to get a higher salary and or people lose jobs due to unions not making them to work. Besides, negative coverage by the media, also builds the negative perception about the unions.
