Ans- nosocomial infection are any type of infection caused to the patients by coming in the direct contact of pathogens present over the hospital , helath care institute or health worker. In other words the infection spread from hospital and health care institute is referred as nosocomial infection.
The common type of pathogens which can cause nosocomial infection include. Staphlococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and E.coli etc. The common type of nosocomial infection includes the skin infection, surgical site infection, gastrointestinal tract infection and urinary tract infection.
The protocol which can be applied to prevent nosocomial infection are 1) proper sterlisation should be maintained in hospital instrument and appratus.
2) Proper mask and preventive method should be applied.
3) proper care of cleanliness over the health care institute.
4) proper disposal of biohazard waste.
5) proper ventilation to avoid air droplets to form and move in hospital.
