The changes in weight during three months for six people on a diet were 10,12, 14, 16, 17, and −2 pounds. Use the sign test to find and interpret the P-value for testing that the probability that the weight difference is positive equals 0.50 against the alternative hypothesis that it is greater than 0.50.
1) Identify the correct null and alternative hypotheses.
I know that the correct answer for this part is:
H0 : p = 0.50
Ha : p > 0.50
2) P-value = ?
But I have no idea how to calculate the p-value here, can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.
