  1. Yes,they are stored in a safe place.
  2. Every medicine has its own recommended storage condition.Heat,Air,Light,and moisture damage medicines.The majority of medications may be stored at room temperature,in a cool dry place.Examples include a dresser drawer,a storage box and a shelf.
  3. The best way to dispose of most types of unused or expired medicines is to drop off medicines at a drug take back site,location or program. If you cannot get to a drug take back location promptly, or there is none near you,  flush the potentially dangerous medicine down the toilet.Another method is to mix the medicines (do not crush tablets or capsules) with an unpalatable substance such as dirt, kitty litter, or used coffee grounds. Then, place the mixture in a container such as a zip-lock or sealable plastic bag, and throw the container away in your household trash. It is suggested to follow the first method.
