Define the term carrying capacity. Explain the reason every environment has a carrying capacity.

• Carrying capacity is the term which describes about the sustainability of an organisms in its environment when its needs have been gets fulfilled through nutrient availability, space & shelter availability, fulfilled reproduction, survivability and increase in its population.
• Indirectly, when the environment is suitable for the growth and development of an organism, its carrying capacity increases.
• When there is degradation in the environment, unpredictable changes in weather, disease attack, more predators or depletion in the natural resources, it leads to decrease in the growth and development of an organism and there by a decrease in its carrying capacity could be seen.
• When there is a new competitor or an alien species occurrence, then also the carrying capacity of an organism decreases.
• So carrying capacity is in enhanced or increased state when there is peak in the population size of an organism could be seen in its best environment.
