Describe how you might use Confucian meditation practice to cultivate a virtue, like moderation. How might Daoist methods for developing moderation differ?
Answer:
Ethics of Confucianism is to focused on overall enhancement in
harmony, peace and balance between culture and civilization. On the
other hand, Taoism is based on enhancement of individual harmony of
the person with nature and spiritual and moral enlightenment.
Both of them focus development of Wen and Te force and humility.It
is Chun Tzu in Confucianism and In Daoism, it is to natural
forces.
Confucian ethics are focused to develop well ordered and functioned
society and concerns about future generations, on the other hand,
Taoism is more concern about the better relationship of the
individual with nature and honouring nature.
Confucian ethics is related to social welfare and Taoism is related
to individual welfare.
Meditation is one of the core features of both tradition to elevate
the spiritual and morality level.It is also used as a tool to
achieve moderation in both of them in slightly different
manner.
