they can be used to determine the ejection fraction produced by the ventricles during systole

b.

they can be used to determine if the walls of the ventricles are thickened in response to hypertension

c.

they are considered “healthy” if the ejection fraction of the left ventricle is greater than 40%

Solutions

Expert Solution

1. If a blood clot lodges in a coronary artery narrowed by atherosclerosis, the result can be

ANSWER- all of these are possible outcomes of a blood clot lodging in a coronary artery

EXPLANATION- if the clot will cause death of the heart muscle, if that sepcific heart muscle is getting blood supply from an another route by another artery, then slow death of heart muscle occurs and if the tissue is supplied blood from only one artery, and that is blocked, cardiac arrest or coronary arrets can occur, and this is a pretty fast progressing condition. Ventricular fibrillations are also seen as the clot blocks tissues which are helping in conduction of impulses.

2. PLEASE PROVIDE THE QUESTION.

from the above options, it looks like the options are about pacemaker. The options A, B, and D are tue about pacemakers but not option C.

Pacemaker does not stop the heart from beating. It sends electrical impulses when there is irregular heart beat. so as to keep the heart beating.

3. Which of the following statements about echo cardiograms is false?

ANSWER-  they are made using low energy x rays.

EXPLANATION- eco cardiogram uses sound waves to picture the heart and does not use any radiation.

GOOD LUCK!
