describe the function of mrna rrna and trna

Solutions

Expert Solution

mRNA or messenger RNA is a transcript that act as a messenger between the genomic DNA and it's expression. This mrna is user used by the ribosomes to translate the expression of DNA into protein. The mRNA moves out of the nucleus into the cytosol where translation into a protein occurs. The mRNA also provides a window to synthesis different proteins from single DNA fragment by alternative splicing or trans splicing

rRNA is ribosomal RNA. rRNA is an integral part of the ribosome. rRNA has catatluti efficiency and takes part in polypeptide formation during translation.

tRNA or transfer RNA is a clover leaf structure which on what end has anticodon that is complementary to a particular codon on the mRNA whereas on the other hand carried the amino acid corresponding to the codon that it recognises. For examole if the anticodon binds to AUG codon on the other hand it carries methionine. Thus it bring in the amino acids that correspond to codon on the mRNA during translation
