ANS) Origin and insertion of the IT Band - It arises at its proximal end from the tendons of the tensor fasciae latae and gluteus maximus muscles, inserting on the lateral epicondyle of the tibia
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Origin, insertion, and action of sartorius - The sartorius muscle is a long, slim, superficially running extensor of the thigh musculature. It originates from the anterior superior iliac spine of the pelvic bone and runs spirally towards the knee region. There it inserts at the pes anserinus medially from the tibial tuberosity.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Origin, insertion, and action of ischiocavernosus - It inserts into the aponeurosis over the medial and lateral sides of the crus penis. Itaction is to facilitate the maintainance of an erection. In females, ischiocavernosushas a similar origin but it inserts into the crura of the clitoris.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Origin, insertion, and action of bulbospongiosus (female) - The bulbospongiosus muscle (bulbocavernosus in older texts) is one of the superficial muscles of the perineum. It has a slightly different origin, insertion and function in males and females. In both sexes, it is innervated by the deep/muscular branch of the perineal nerve, which is a branch of the pudendal nerve.

Origin, insertion, and action of bulbospongiosus (male) - The bulbospongiosus muscle (bulbocavernosus in older texts) is one of the superficial muscles of the perineum. It has a slightly different origin, insertion and function in males and females. ... In both sexes, it is innervated by the deep/muscular branch of the perineal nerve, which is a branch of the pudendal nerve
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Origin, insertion, and action of deep transverse perineal - The deep transverse perineal muscle is innervated by the pudendal nerve. The function of the muscle is fixation of theperineal body (central tendon of perineum), support of the pelvic floor, expulsion of semen in males and last drops of urine in both sexes.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Origin, insertion, and action of perineal body - It arises by tendinous fibers from the inner and forepart of the ischial tuberosity and, running medially, is inserted into the central tendinous point of the perineum (perineal body), joining in this situation with the muscle of the opposite side, with the external anal sphincter muscle behind, and with the bulbospongiosus muscle in front. In some cases, the fibers of the deeper layer of the external anal sphincter cross over in front of the opening at the end of the alimentary canal through which solid waste matter leaves the body and are continued into this muscle. Occasionally it gives off fibers, which join with the bulbocavernosus of the same side.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Origin, insertion, and action of internal anal sphincter - The middle fibers are inserted into the side of the rectum, blending with the fibers of the sphincter muscles; lastly in the male, the anterior fibers descend upon the side of the prostate to unite beneath it with the muscle of the opposite side, joining with the fibers of the external anal sphincter and transverse
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Origin and insertion of linea alba - The name means white line and the linea alba is indeed white, being composed mostly of collagen connective tissue. It is formed by the fusion of the aponeuroses of the abdominal muscles, and it separates the left and right rectus abdominis muscles.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Origin, insertion, and action of cremaster - A muscle with origin from the internal oblique and inguinal ligament, with insertion into the cremasteric fascia and pubic tubercle, with nerve supply from the genitofemoral nerve, and whose action raises the testicle.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Origin, insertion, and action of pectoralis minor - The pectoralis minor is a fan-shaped muscle of the shoulder girdle. It originates from the third to fifth ribs, and inserts on the coracoid process of the scapula. It is innervated by the medial and lateral pectoralnerves (C6-Th1), branches of the brachial plexus
