Answer:- Apart from ERP and MRP, CPR, CRM, SCM, PLM, all of these methods can be implemented and executed in any kind of manufacturing organization. The decision of which method to be implemented and adopted by the organization greatly depends upon the preference and the strategy of the organizations. On the basis of the product produced and services offered to the clients, the companies can opt for a number of strategies to find out which is the most suitable strategy for them
Answer:- ERP and MRP both can be applicable to the service industry along with the manufacturing industry but it is up to the organizations to evaluate whether it is really significant for the organization to implement both i.e. ERP and RP to have improved and greater efficiency and production and service level within the organization. There can be an intertwined relationship between the management techniques and planning processes within various organizations so that the firs can determine which of these two methods is more suitable looking at the characteristics of these organizations. Despite being possible to implement both the planning methods, but in practicality, a certain organization will and should select one of these two methods rather than selecting one and leaving other and continue doing so again and again.
Answer:-
University:-
The different factors which can be used to forecast the demand in this industry are as below:-
Level of higher education in the country:- If the country is one of those nations which gives a lot of importance to the higher education, and this importance is increasing day by day then it will have a positive impact on the demand of university as more students will be looking for the admission. This is mainly a long-term factor as the attitude of the society takes time to change.
Economic situation:- If the economic situation in the country is not good then people will not have the money for their studies thus the demand for the university will decline. This can be a medium to short-term factor.
The loan facilities:- If the loan facilities for the education and government support has been increased then the demand for this industry will be increased.
The trend in education industry:- The education sector is also one of the sectors which is influenced by the different trends as over time different programs become quite popular among the students and some loses its popularity. This will be a short-term factor
Industry demand for different courses:- The demand for different courses from the industry also impacts the forecasting. This is due to the reason as when the industry demands a certain kind of course for any job position, then more students tend to pursue that course due to greater ob opportunity.
