What are the components of measurable organizational value (MOV)? Briefly describe a project that you have been a part of in a current or previous position. What are some specific metrics that were (or could have been) used to measure a project's organizational value? How can a business case be used to determine and demonstrate MOV? What are some challenges one might encounter when trying to measure the value of a project, and how could these challenges be overcome?
The components of a Measurable Organisational Value (MOV) are as follows:
1. It should be measurable.
2. The MOV must be a target setting project which is worthwhile of doing.
3. The MOV must be verifiable as it should be verified at the end of the project.
A project I was involved in always to measure the organisation's target to make every individual in that region to come into the hospital.
The specific metrics that were used to measure the project's organisational value was to check the infrastructure of the hospital and to change its outdated machinery immediately. The customer service of the hospital was also checked and thereby improvements were also made on the customer service of the hospital. The revenues of the hospital was also taken care of and improvements were made to increase the revenue of the hospital.
A business can be used to determine and to demonstrate MOV in a way that should see first the desired area of impact and then to rectify those areas.
The challenges one might face while measuring the value of a project is if the values are not measurable the example they are qualitative values .in this case, the qualitative values are to measured by assigning them to a particular numeric value.
