Please answer these two questions. Thank you.
1. What is the importance of cultural commonalities(such as writing, a focused sppiritual quest and technology) in creating a sense of community?
2.Describe the human quest for balance or equilibrium in relationship to the world of nature.
1. If you take a look at Maslow's Needs Hierarchy, he makes it
very clear that humans require a sense of love, support and
belongingness in order to help them reach self-actualization. For
this, being a part of a community is essential and important. Man
is a social being. He has always grown up in a social setting and
has learnt the importance of a give and take relationship. He knows
that in order to be a part of the community he must benefit the
community in some way so that he too can take part of the reap. For
the community to go forward and to be united, there must be some
integral concepts that help them be together. It is seen across
many cultures that people look at ancient writings, scriptures, and
holy books to provide them answers for the future and also answers
to where their roots came from. A focused spiritual quest shows
them how to move forward and with time and advances, technology
also unites them.
2. Acquiring a state of balance or equilibrium is the
essential goal for man. He wants to be in a state where he is
satisfied with all that he has and does not require the need to
search for more. Many religions, such as Budhism, also potray
similar ideologies that for man to reach this state, he must be one
with nature. Each of our actions, from waking up to when the sun
rises and sleeping when it sets, shows us how inticrately we are
all connected in the world of nature. Nature is our biggest teacher
from where we can learn everything from. It is essential that for
man to achieve his self-actualization, that he must first
understand his relationship with nature.
