Explain the following sampling plan in easily understood terms
n1= 125
c1= 3
n2= 150
c2 = 6
n3 = 200
c3= 12
The following sampling plan has three samples denoted by n1,n2, and n2 and 3 acceptance numbers which are c1, c2, and c3. Acceptance number means that a sample can only have a specific number of defective items.
1. The first sample, n1= 125 means there are 125 items in this sample. C is the acceptance number of the sample and c1 = 3 means that if there are more than 3 defective items in the sample of 125, then the whole sample is rejected.
2. Similarly in the second sample, n2= 150 means there are 150 items in the sample. Since c2 = 6, the number of defective items in the sample of 150 should be 6 and not more than that otherwise the sample gets rejected.
3. Likewise, in the third sample. there are 200 items as n3 = 200. Here the number of defective items in the sample of 200 can be 12 as c3 =12. The sample is accepted if the number of defective items does not exceed 12.
