What is political correctness? How is it defined? What’s its goal? How does it illustrate the power of language? Do research – look for reliable scholarly sources to find a good definition; explain the term also in your own words, and provide an example.

Critically discuss the question: Is political correctness a good idea?

There are obviously two possible answers to this question. Present those two answers, and try to provide the strongest argument you can think of in support of BOTH sides (you'll need one argument for each side). Then tell us which side you think is stronger and why.

Expert Solution

Political correctness: - This term is directly linked with political benefit for government and its ruling party. The governing party makes the rule as a government policy which will be implemented on each and every group of peoples in state or country. These policies will be correct as per government view point. These policies may be disadvantageous for few groups of people but not for all. These are policies comes under political correctness.

Goal: - As per above discussion we had observed that the single goal of political correctness that it brings the all different types of communities under single rule. That rule should be followed by each everyone whether you are in favor of that policy or against of that one. This policy will be applicable on each and everyone.

It could be partially linked with dictatorship where ruler will make the rule and you have to follow that one. Political correctness brings the idea from different political persons of same ruling party.

As we know that in our country there are different types of cultures and religions. So for the benefit of one community we can’t force the rule on all each and every group.

Second one is to bring the similarity and equality in the society; we should bring such policy which will applicable on each and every community. Policy should have equal impact on every one weather that is in favor or against the rights of community.
