What are the 3 signals of T-cell activation and how do they each work?
Answer =
3 signals of T-cell activation are as follows:
Signal 1: The T cells are genetared in Thymus they are activated we then recognises an antigen.they recognises their antigen on the surface of antigen binding cells.
on the surface of antigen binding cells (APCs) there is presence of major histocompability complex molecules (MHCs)
Both types of T cells that is CD4+ and CD8+ are bound to the MHC molecule present on antigen binding cells.
2.Signal Two 2 = Both types of T cell that is
helper T cell - the signal is provided by CD28.This CD28 binds to the B7 present on APC. when CD28 binds to the B7 the process of T cell proliferation initiated.
Cytotoxic T cell - require costimulatory molecules such as CD70 and CD 137.
3.Signal three =
for TH 1 cell type - signal is IL-2
TH2 cell type - IL-4
