Define Social-Entrepreneurship in Public Health.
Ans.) Entrepreneurship is basically setting up a new business working on an innovative idea with the involved amount of financial risks in the lure of profits in the long run. The people who work on a new idea and set up a business on it,are called Entrepreneurs. Social Entrepreneurship addresses social, cultural and environmental issues.
Now combining entrepreneurial skills with the understanding of public health in order to develop ventures that address some of society's most essential health and social problems is called social entrepreneurship in public health. This is done in an attempt to bridge the gap between the business world and the Healthcare space. It is done with non-profit goals as a positive return to society. The challenge is lack of resources, financial aid as we all know that health care is an expensive field. The governments of respective countries should come forward to the rescue of the social entrepreneurs in order to create a rather balanced society where in the people have an access to health care facilities irrespective of their financial status.
