A baby's nutrients needs begins before birth

As growing baby inside mother need nutrients to develop properly and to grow their organs , for all these activities to be done they need nutrients

To support my answer , taking an example of folic acid which is recommended for prenatal and antenatal mother because it is essential for baby as folic acid help not only in blood formation together with iron but also in development of neural tube due to absence of folic acid in mother can affect the baby growing inside her, as baby can't have folic acid and their deficiency can cause neural tube defects such as spina bifida

Also calcium supplements during antenatal period is considered very crucial as baby need calcium to grow their bones and if not mother is supplemented with calcium , then bone of mother help in providing calcium to the baby thus baby needs nutrition such as calcium , folic acids and many other nutritions to grow and develop before their birth, thats why antenatal mothers need proper care , need to gain weight , supplemented with essential nutrients as it all needed by babies too to develop and grow also may prevent anemia and other complications in mother .So it is true that baby's nutrients need begins before birth
