Describe the growth pattern of E. coli, B subtilis, S. epidermis, B. cereus in broth
Ans.E.coli:-The growth pattern of murein-sacculus which determine the shape of the Escherichial coli cell was studied by the use of high-resolution autoradiography with the electro microscope.the murein was pulse labelled with H-labelled diaminopimelic acid as a specific murein precursor and sacculi werw prepared immediateli.
B subtilis:-A Bascillus subtilis strain showed a variety of colony growth paterns on agar plates. the bacterium grew to afractal colony thought the diffusion limites aggregation process a round colony reminiscent of eden model,a colony with a stright amd densely branched structure similar to the dence branching, morphlogy,a colony spreading without any openings.the patterns of these bacterial colonies were thought to grow in relation to the diffusion nutrient in the agar plate.
S epidermis:-Staphylococcus epidermidis is a gram positive bacterium and one of over 40 species belonging to the genus staphylococcus.it is part of normal human flora.typically the skin flora and less commonly the mucosal flora.it is an facultative anaerobic bacteria.although s. epidermidisi is not usually pathogenic patients with compromised immune are generally hospital-acquired.s. epidermidis is a particular because it is known to form biofilms that grows on these divices.being part of normal skin flora s. epidermidis is a frequent contaminant of specimens sent to the diagnostic laboratory.
B.cereus in broth:-Bacillum cereus is a gram positive aerobic or facultatively anaerobic that is widely distributed environmentally.while B.cereus is associated mainly with food poisoning .the pathogenicity of B.cereus, whether intestinal or nonintestinal,is intimately associated with the production of tissue-destructive exoenzymes.the major hurdle in evaluation B. cereus when isolate from a clinical specimen is overcoming its stgma as an insignificatnt contaminant.
