Expert Solution

As the promotions manager for a new line of cosmetics, I would use social media and sales promotion to sell the product. I have selected social media because social media is the best method to attract teenage girls as most of the girls of this category use social media in the current situation. Preteen girls get the suggestions to use the product through their seniors of teenage who use social media. Most of the preteen girls also use social media though it is not intended for them. Moreover advertising through social media is less costly and our budget is also less. Sales promotion would help us to attract more customers including in the category of preteen girls as well as their parents. When the preteen girls demand the product, the parents would try to analyze the economic benefit behind buying the product and sales promotional strategies through offers like buy-one-get-one free and attractive discounts would help to ensure maximum sale of the new product. Both sales promotion and social media would help me to promote the product effectively within the budget.
