A group of volunteers are randomly divided into two groups. One group of participants takes a pill each morning for a year which contains antioxidants (Vitamins A, C, E, etc), while the other group takes a placebo pill for the same time period. Following this they are measured on a problem solving task given under stressful conditions. The number of errors is counted during solution. Results were:
