Searching, selection, acceptance, and preference represent four distinct behaviors expressed by insect herbivores regarding host plants. Define each of these behaviors and indicate how they are distinct from each other. Develop (and explain) your own hypothetical example for each behavior to emphasize what these terms mean.
In searching plants the following data included such insect move
lwntgh, insect turning angle concentration, reactive distance,
mortality, dispersion, plant size etc.
Visual detection and natural illuminants by plants in searching and
insect select those plants which have no against property or
defense mechanism to retrict the insect growth.
Acceptance, Herbivorous insects are connected by both local and
systemic plant-mediated interactions. Systemic effects may involve
both roots and shoots or leaves and flowers.
The insects sense। the plant volatiles for selecting or invading
plant.
