Describe the role of the troponin-tropomyosin complex and the role of calcium ions in skeletal and cardiac muscle contraction.
Tropo myosine are myosine protein which is present in the muscle structure. Tropnine is a connector protein which is helpful to make interaction between actin and myosin protein.
Without troponine actin protein is not able to interact with myosine.
Troponine protein have ATP binding site for energy requirement.
when the signal molecule comes from outside it is received by the receptor protein and then transferred into the cytoplasm.
In this signalling GPCR signalling is involved. When the signal molecule comes a point with gpcr receptor and then activate phospholipase C enzyme. this enzyme is involved in the formation of inositol triphosphate. on the membrane of Endoplasmic Reticulum, inositol triphosphate gated calcium channels are present. when ip3 binds with these channels it opens up and Calcium is released from endoplasmic reticulum to cytoplasm and then activate scam kinase enzyme. which activates multiple proteins and then leads to muscle contraction.
