Cognitive
intelligence include good analytical, intellectual and
decision-making skill. These abilities make the leader to be
flexible in different stressful situations.
The reasons cognitive intelligence alone is insufficient for
effective leadership are: -
- It does not helps our mind to cope up with stressful
situations.
- It does not change or influence our perspective towards life.
It does not help us to cope up with different situations like
anxiety, depression and mood swings.
- It does not contributes towards relationship building. It does
not helps in improving the communication process between
individuals and better understand and manage emotions.
- It does not helps in understanding the needs, feelings of
others to make the relationship stronger.
- Cognitive intelligence does not resolve conflict or avoide
conflict.
- It is not an internal motivator to increase self-confidence.
Goals cannot be achieved effectively if the leader only have
cognitive intelligence.
