Some organizations choose a hybrid method of an SDLC for technology and information systems. Why would this be?
Some organizations choose a hybrid method of SDLC based on the design or a problem with the design of a given project. This presents us with different options in order to create, implement and test any corrections we make to the software and then allow us to be able to successfully integrate that in the current design for the software. This is essentially necessary in a project that uses multiple parts that are created by different departments or different developers in order to be able to successfully integrate the solutions or the different integrations into the structure of the software.
Using a hybrid method involve the use of not using the linear progression of the SDLC rather use design-testing-implementation-testing-design-testing implementation or other such techniques.
This would mean that there is a design phase followed by a testing phase followed by an implementation phase which gives rise to another testing phase and so on.
