1. Stake holders in a nursing programme and their roles:

The major stakeholders of a nursing programme are students, educators, Health sectors , Health consumers  and Nurse managers. Each one may get involved or affected by the changes in nursing programme.  

* Students are the core of a nursing programme . They are getting affected or benefited by the course , its purposes, method of teaching, patient care , curricula , training hours, cost of the programme etc.

* Educators or Educational providers: Educational providers and the educators are the integral part of a nursing programme. They have to plan the curricula, exposure time to hospital area, theory hours, duration as per Nursing regulatory bodies etc. They are responsible for the quality education

* Health sector and Nursing profession: Another two major areas that influence and gets influenced by the Nursing programme. Health sector can be benefited by the entry of well trained and efficient nurses from an excellent nursing programme, who provides qualitu nursing care to the patients

* Health consumers: Patients or Health consumers are greatly benefited from the products of good Nursing programme, that the nurses. Efficient and excellent nurses are of great benefit for the patient as they provide quality nursing care with compassion and love, for the patient.  

2. Reasons for problems in a Nursing programme:

There are different Nursing programmes available in the state or country. Each programme has its own advantages and disadvantages. There are many reasons for problems in a Nursing programme, some of them are:

* Ineffective communication: Ineffective communication between students with teachers or patients is a main reason for problems that occurs in different Nursing programmes. Discrimination and improper treatment by instructors affect student communication

* Inadequate readiness and forceful entry: Students , who joined to the Nursing profession, always may not come with passion to the profession, instead some may come due to the parental force. They may feel difficulty in thriving the course.

* Duration of programme : Some Nursing programmes' duration is so lengthy like four years for a Degree in nursing. Some programme have less duration and may have difficulty in completing the portions and clinical training

* Work load and vast theory : Work load will be more for Diploma and Degree students of Nursing.

* Burden of clinical training : Along with the vast theory and number of subjects, students has to go for extensive clinical training to meet the required criterias . Time constrictions may be a real trouble for the students in a nursing programme.  

* Increased academic fee

3. Three possible suggestions :  

We can employ many strategies to correct or change the problems occurs in Nursing programme, some of the strategies are:

* Improvement of communication : Make the environment conducive for easy communication by students with other nurses , educators and to patients.

* Elimination of discrimination : for a fair and comfortable environment for the student nurse , there should not be any form of discrimination .

* Reviewing curriculum , to eliminate unnecessary theories and old data from curricula, so that students' work load may get reduced.  

* Government aided nursing education , to reduce the cost of Nursing programme, so that any student can aspire nursing course irrespective of financial status.  

4. Efficient and excellent nurses educators: Select and appoint excellent nurse educators, who understands students and who are able to stand on students ' shoes are of great use in Nursing programme, as it can reduce the students' burden or stress into half of the actual amount. A well knowledgeable and a passionate teacher or instructor, who love   students, may make the academic period easy and fast for the students. She will not give unnecessary stress or load to the students and will not show any discrimination to the students. A good teacher encourage the students for communication and competency.
