(Answer)(1) Daily Hassles/Uplifts versus Major Life Change Events: What were your key findings from the assessments?
It was found that daily hassles like stress with studies, future prospects and other issues are currently more than life-changing events. Considering that, no major mishap has caused a mental strain at the moment, the stress levels are considerably normal.
(2) What action plans do you need to implement to better cope with your stress?
One would need to dwell much less on tiny difficulties and focus on affirmative aspects of life. Furthermore, it would be helpful to imagine the problem is already solved. This would work as an incentive to actually solve an issue and hence overcome it.
(3) Which of the two types impact your mental and physical health the most? Explain.
Mental and physical health is sometimes affected by lack of sleep. Although this is not always the issue, it would be helpful to undertake meditation exercises in order to de-stress. An occasional break from routine every now and then would help ease the mind and aid mental health by getting better sleep. This would in turn positively affect physical health.
(4) What are your most challenging stressors?
(5) What are simple coping strategies that seem to be working the best for you?
Taking a break from routine and technology is helpful to de-stress. A walk in the park or enjoying a sandwich on a park bench, watching a film or simply relaxing does help the mind cope. Also, it helps to re-energise and prepare for when it is time to get back to the daily schedule.
