Answer: Glucose enters the blood stream from liver by facilitated diffusion. In facilitated diffusion, glucose moves down Hill from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration via carrier proteins such as glucose transporters (GLUT).
In the gut, glucose is first transported to intestinal epithelium cells from the gut by active transport. In active transport, glucose moves uphill from a region of lower concentration to a region of high concentration by using chemical energy from ATP. After uptake of glucose by intestinal cell, glucose is transported by facilitated diffusion across the Red blood cells in the blood stream.
