Ans: Deuteronomy 24:14 and the Parable of the Shrewd Manager (Luke 16: 1-14) provide us with an opportunity to look at subordinate relations from different perspectives. It also states that Thou shall not oppress an hired servant. And not to take advantage of a hired worker who is poor and needy. Whether that worker is a fellow Israelite or a foreigner residing in one of your towns and so a brother both by nation and religion.

Parable of the Unjust Steward / Shrewd Manager, here Jesus is speaking to His disciples and his audience is mixed—disciples and Pharisees. The parable is for the benefit of the disciples and on the motivation of the Pharisees. A steward is a person who manages the resources and had authority over all of the master’s resources. In the parable rich man calling his steward to inform him that he will be relieved from his duties. Jesus is drawing a contrast between unbelievers and believers. Once Steward knew he was about to be put out, he made friend of his master's debtors and cheated his masters(who was cheating his customers).

These above verses teach us about honesty and fairness in employer-employee relations. Treating others the way you want to be treated is the golden rule, which teaches us to respect others. Honesty in the work place encourages communication between employers, employees and co-workers. Having a good and balance relationship between workers and employees can also help a company have a strong, successful and productive journey.
