According to Colangelo (1999), "education and experience will teach you how far you can trust your intuition" (p. 26). Additionally, in his video interview , Mr. Colangelo shares his outlook on a variety of topics such as business ethics, personal integrity, and professional development. Describe any key takeaways you have as a result of watching the video.
As an entrepreneur or business person who is responsible for making decisions that impact your organization both internally and externally, describe how you make decisions when they conflict with your personal ethics and instincts? What personal values and ethical standards do you consider most important when making decisions? Provide an example that you have experienced or observed that supports the idea of trusting your intuition and ethical beliefs.
Describe any key takeaways you have as a result of watching the video.
One key takeaways I have from watching the video is about importance of having a good mentor who can make you learn things faster and direct you for taking right decisions. Mentors are armed with knowledge and teach individuals about importance of ethical values and maintaining relationship with client in a good way. Having a mentor who guides your way constantly and correct you evertime you make a mistake, creates good chances of being successful in a business.

In Business it is the responsibility of the C.E.O., owner and the board of directors if one has been selected to make decisions related to internal and external operations, with respect to the company's mission statement to lead or direct the rules and ethics to create the work culture for a business.
When making ethical decisions I should trust my instincts and should stay firm to my thinking. If I feel something to be un-ethical , I would not let it happen. There were instances that a close friend was involved in an un-ethical activities so I had distanced myself from them. In the same way I feel in business, if your clint wants you to adopt unethical measures to a particular work then its better to decline the offer politely and protect your ethical values.
What personal values and ethical standards do you consider most important when making decisions?
The personal values I follow is to always tell truth and be honest. The ethical standards I follow is to always follow a process for doing any work without taking shortcut or illegal favors. I have a high respect for people personally who work hard and earn their name by doing so. I do not respect people who move up the ladder due to influential relationships or pretending to be qualified individuals.

Recently I observed that my team is deleting few unused entries from live database as per client's operations team so that they do not have to put extra efforts in doing so from front-end. I had clearly told client as soon as I noticed that this is wrong and deleting something fro production is not allowed without proper approvals. We can just casually go about deleting something. It can lead to fatal errors. I proposed them that we would develop a small utility for them to perform their activities with minor charges. So they agreed and were happy about the approach. Even my company was happy as commercials were involved.
