The federal government has three important branches , legislative , executive and judiciary. All three branches are independent of each other . This is done in the federal govt. to ensure that power is not concentrated with in one set of individual. These three factions of federal government system ensure that no one impinges upon the liberty and jurisdiction of another and specializes in there own function . In the democratic countries it is important that important laws are reviewed and made frequently this is the role of the legislative council which is the house of republics and senate in America. These two also have checks and balances as we have two political party and the opposition ensures that no wrong bills are passed in house of republics .
Judiciary is the independent judiciary system where courts may be brought in to look in to the decision making of both legislative and executive . Executive is the government body which executes all the laws and runs the country though various departments including police .
Executive over the judicial branch. The president appoints all federal judges. Legislative over the executive branch. The legislative branch must approve appointments that the president makes; the Senate must approve treaties that the president makes; and the legislative branch may investigate the executive branch.
