Turner was a hero for some African Americans because under his leadership a rebellion take placed. He was considered as the hero because he fought against the slave owners. He born in slavery and a rebellion under his leadership freed slaves.

Although the rebellion was supressed but the rebellion that was led by Turner was one of the important black slave rebellion. Although the rebellion was violent in someway but because it was against the brutality of slavery made Turner a hero for some African Americans. The rebellion was against the hardships an inhuman behavior caused to slaves by their owners.

Over the years, Turner has emerged as a hero and preacher.  Turner became an important icon to the 1960s Black power movement as an example of an African American standing up against white oppression.He was an important icon who fought against the savery and injustice against black African American. He made people or the owner of the slaves feel the hardships that they were practicing on the African Americans. Due to these facts he was considered as the hero for some African Americans .There are several counter argument also but the story of Terner is taken in terms of rebellion isn't solely and figjt against the slavery. It is story of fighting against oppression for one's freedom and basic human rights.He was considered as the voice of the oppressed who was never treated like human, who always treated like animals whose children was not subjected to education and a better standard of living. In this way Turner was considered as the hero of some African Americans.
