Overeating cannot be promoted during pregnancy because overeating mothers are bringing risk for the baby and herself. The health of both are affected. There are many problems related with the over eating,

  • Increased weight gain- The excess weight gain for the pregnant lady have many negative physical impacts, it can develop leg pain,back pain,vericose veins and haemorrhoids.
  • Gestational diabetis- The mother will develop gestational diabetis and the baby is in increased risk of type 2 diabetis and obesity.
  • Caesarean delivery - If the baby gains more weight,normal delivery will be difficult .
  • Heartburn- During pregnancy time the pressure on stomach and intestinal walls is increased and if the mother eats more it leads to indigetion and heart burn.
  • Problems for the baby- Unborn baby have increased risk of obesity,diabetis,low IQ and eating disorders in children.
